• You want the lowest price for an electric zero-turn.
• Your lawn is 2 to 2.5 acres, where the higher rating gives more margin.

Use the rating as a ceiling, not a promise. A 42-inch zero-turn at a 6.5 mph mowing pace covers about 1.9 acres per hour, so 2 acres takes about 64 minutes and 2.5 acres about 80 minutes of mowing in good conditions. Tall spring growth, damp grass, bagging, hills and running blades at maximum speed all shorten real range. Buying a rating 25 to 50 percent above your lawn size avoids finishing the last strip on a dying battery.

If you own either platform, it usually should. Both riders' batteries run the brand's handheld tools: EGO's 56V packs fit its blowers, trimmers and snow blowers, and Greenworks says its 60V packs fit more than 75 other 60V tools.
